This Salzburg flower market wall art print places a white hilltop fortress above a riot of wildflowers. It is a stylized, imaginative take on Salzburg — an artistic interpretation inspired by the city, not a literal view of its old town.
About the artwork
A digital gouache-style illustration with thick, textured strokes and opaque petals. A white-walled fortress crowns a hill in the top quarter, near a tower with a green onion-shaped roof. The rest of the canvas is a dense meadow of cobalt, violet, pink and orange blooms, with big daisies and roses up front, under a pale blue-white sky of loose, impressionist brushwork. "FLOWER MARKET" sits on top in purple serif capitals, with "Salzburg" handwritten in pink below.
Why you'll love it
- Painterly texture. Thick, layered strokes give the flowers real body and movement.
- Bold color. Cobalt, violet and orange make it one of the most vivid prints in the series.
- Alpine storybook. The hilltop fortress adds a classic fairytale note.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
A natural fit for a living room or bedroom that can take bold color. It pairs well with white walls, blue or purple textiles and simple black frames. A lovely gift for past visitors or anyone planning a trip to Austria.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Salzburg? No. It is a stylized, imaginative interpretation of Salzburg. You see a white fortress on a hill, an onion-domed tower and a dense meadow of daisies and roses, composed as an artistic scene.
What text is printed on it? It reads "FLOWER MARKET" at the top, then "CITIES & FLOWERS COLLECTION" and "NO.044" beneath the artwork, with "Salzburg" handwritten in script at the bottom.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
