A figure sketch wall art print of a woman standing with both hands on her hips, drawn in broken, angular pencil lines on soft grey-white paper.
About the artwork
She fills almost the whole sheet, cropped at the thighs, with her elbows pushed out wide to either side. Her hair is built up from faceted planes and her loose top has short, wide sleeves that end in a crisp cuff at each elbow. Long straight construction lines run the full height of the figure, and bands of diagonal hatching shade the front of the dress and the inside of one arm. The paper has a gentle aged tone with faint, uneven patches.
Why you'll love it
- Studio-sketch character. Loose construction lines show how the figure was built.
- Soft graphite palette. Grey on pale paper sits quietly in any room.
- Elegant and confident. A strong pose drawn with restraint.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This sketch suits a bedroom, a dressing area or a study wall where it can be seen up close. Pair it with pale wood, linen and a vase of dried stems. A white or natural oak frame keeps it light; black gives the pencil lines more bite. Hang it beside the charcoal dancer sketch in this range for a pair of early-modern figure studies.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is there a signature, date or text? No — the print shows the drawing only, with no signature, date or lettering.
Is it in colour? No, it is grey pencil on a pale, slightly aged paper tone.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
