This North Terrace Adelaide poster looks along a wide, tree-lined boulevard from above, past pale sandstone civic buildings with columned porticos and blue-grey roofs. Deep green canopies shade the pavement, clipped garden beds run down the centre of the road, and a long line of golden-green hills rises across the whole horizon under a clear pale-blue sky.
About the artwork
A flat vector travel-poster illustration with an elevated, slightly diagonal viewpoint that carries the street from the bottom corner deep into the picture. The palette is unusually soft for a city print: cream and oatmeal stonework, three or four greens layered through the tree canopies, dove grey road and pavement, and a wide band of parched gold and olive across the distant hills. Classical detail is picked out in fine line work — columns, pediments, balustrades and rows of tall windows. Type is set in white capitals in the sky, reading ADELAIDE above a smaller AUSTRALIA. A clean white margin surrounds the scene. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Green where most city prints are grey. The tree canopies take up nearly half the artwork, so it reads as calm rather than urban.
- Heritage architecture in detail. Columned porticos, pediments and window rows are drawn cleanly enough to hold up at large sizes.
- Those golden hills. The dry, sunlit ridgeline behind the city is what makes the view specific to Adelaide.
- A quiet palette. Cream, sage and pale blue sit easily in rooms where a bolder poster would fight the furniture.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Because the greens are soft and the stone is cream, this one is easy in a bedroom, a study or a calm hallway. Sage, mushroom, warm white and pale sand walls all work; a deep olive wall makes the canopies glow. A natural or white frame keeps the airy feel, while espresso adds a little library weight beside dark timber shelves. Pair it with linen bedding, brass lamps and a trailing plant, and skip anything strongly patterned nearby.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Over a bed or a sofa, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" suits the wide horizon. In a study or a hallway, 16" x 24" and 18" x 24" are comfortable.
Does it come framed? Paper prints arrive rolled and unframed. Canvas can be ordered stretched, or as framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural.
Is there a skyline in this one? Only a glimpse — a few pale towers sit far left behind the trees. The focus is the boulevard, the sandstone buildings and the hills.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
