A vehicle nursery wall art print of a golden-orange lion in black and white checkered pants, standing tall on a pale blue scooter.
About the artwork
The lion stands in the centre on its scooter, with golden-orange fur and a brown mane. Its trousers carry a bold black and white checkerboard pattern. A thick patterned border surrounds the scene: squares in blue-grey alternating with pale blue, each set with a white eight-pointed star. Inside the border the background is a flat grey-beige, and the drawing has a textured dry-brush finish.
Why you'll love it
- Dressed to ride. A lion in checkerboard trousers is impossible not to smile at.
- Built-in frame. The star-tiled border gives a finished look even before framing.
- Bold but balanced. Orange, black and white sit against calm blues and grey-beige.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The checkerboard trousers link nicely to black and white accents such as a striped rug or monochrome bedding. Since the star border already frames the scene, a slim frame or the canvas option works well. Its blue-grey tiles suit blue or grey walls in a shared kids' room.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the star border part of the print? Yes, the blue-grey and pale blue tiles with white stars are printed as part of the design.
What colour is the scooter? The scooter is pale blue.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
