This Lancaster, Pennsylvania watercolor print shows a red Lancaster County covered bridge over a stony creek, with Amish farmland rolling out behind it. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The red bridge boards are built up in layers with an ink line along each plank, and the creek reflects red and green above stones outlined in ink. Wildflowers are dotted in yellow, white and pink, and the left edge blends yellow and blue with a long drip at the lower left and splatter around a white paper border. The bridge, with white trim around its portal and stone abutments, sits left of center, while a white farmhouse, a red barn, two silos and a windmill fill the background on the right. Striped corn rows and plowed fields lead to soft green hills under a late spring sky. "LANCASTER" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Buggy on the bridge. A gray-topped Amish buggy rolls across the covered bridge.
- Plowing by horse. A farmer works the field behind a team of horses in the middle distance.
- Barn red and field green. Classic barn red and spring green are lifted by yellow buttercups and silver silos.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Lancaster, Pennsylvania? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Lancaster County, and a few details are simplified or changed, such as the far end of the bridge and the team pulling the plow.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "LANCASTER," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
