A Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park illustrated print in flat vector shapes: a glowing lava ribbon running from a smoking cone across near-black slopes to where it meets the water under cream steam.
About the artwork
The lava crosses the slope on a diagonal and widens toward the bottom, and the steam cuts across the other way so the two cross. The lava is the only gradient in the picture, set against near-black slopes and broad tropical leaves in the foreground. The park includes Kīlauea and Mauna Loa, two of the most active volcanoes on Earth. The park name runs across the header in heavy capitals, with the state and EST 1916 beneath.
Why you'll love it
- Lava glow. Lemon and red-orange against near-black.
- One grid, sixty-three parks. Every illustrated park print shares the same layout and header style, so any mix hangs as a matched set.
- Thirteen sizes. Start small at 8" x 12" or go up to 30" x 40"; A4 to A1 sizes are there too.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
It reads from the far end of a room. Lemon, red-orange and cream pair with charcoal and white; a black frame disappears into the slopes and lets the lava glow.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I choose? 12" x 18" works in a gallery wall of several parks; 18" x 24" and up stands on its own, and 30" x 40" fills a large wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Hawaiʻi Volcanoes prints? This is the illustrated version, in flat vector shapes with the shared series header: a lava ribbon running down to the sea. The vintage travel poster, WPA, screen print, retro, mid-century, panoramic, classical oil, impasto oil, watercolor and landmark Hawaiʻi Volcanoes prints are separate designs.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
