A woodland nursery wall art print of a baby fawn lying among wildflowers, chin raised toward a small butterfly, framed in a sandy lace-edged oval.
About the artwork
The fawn rests with its legs tucked under, its warm brown coat dotted with clear white spots and its large ears turned back. It lifts its nose to watch a pale blush butterfly fluttering at the upper right. Around it grow soft sage leaves, butter-yellow five-petal flowers and a few tiny white blooms. The oval is a sandy beige, bordered by a scalloped lace edge with heart-shaped cutouts and a fine chain of white flowers just inside. A plain cream margin surrounds the whole cameo, so the scene reads clearly from across the room.
Why you'll love it
- A tender moment. The upward gaze gives the scene a quiet curiosity.
- Lace-trimmed frame. Heart cutouts and tiny flowers add delicate detail.
- Easy neutral palette. Sand, cream and brown suit most nursery colors.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Place it above a crib or a low bookshelf in a woodland nursery with linen bedding and a woven basket or two. White and natural frames echo the lace trim, and espresso deepens the fawn's coat. Pair it with the sleeping fawn wreath design for a soft set of two deer.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the lace border printed? Yes. The scalloped lace edge and white flower chain are part of the artwork, not a separate mat.
Is there any wording on it? No, it is an illustration only, with no text.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
