This Cinque Terre watercolor print shows the harbor village of Vernazza, with the Church of Santa Margherita d'Antiochia by the water and the round Doria Castle tower above. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Cinque Terre, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The turquoise harbor is washed clear with white paper highlights, and the tall pastel houses get fine ink window frames. Ligurian sea blue, coral pink, ochre and terracotta lead the palette, with olive green and pink trailside flowers as accents. The church and its octagonal bell tower sit right of center by the quay, while the Doria Castle watchtower stands on the headland at upper right. The view comes from a high hiking trail, with terraced vineyards, dry stone walls and olive trees in the foreground and cliffs curving away along the coast. Long pink-orange drips and pink-blue splatters fade the edges into a white paper border on a midsummer day. "CINQUE TERRE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Hiker on the trail. A hiker in a hat walks the path above the village.
- Swimmers by the rocks. Tiny figures swim near the harbor rocks in clear water.
- Small fishing boats. Wooden boats rest in the little harbor below the pastel houses.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Coral, ochre and sea blue bring warmth to a coastal living room, a bathroom gallery wall or a guest bedroom. A fitting gift for someone who hiked the Italian Riviera or for newlyweds.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Cinque Terre? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Vernazza seen from the trail. The houses, vineyards and coastline are loosely painted rather than drawn in exact detail.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "CINQUE TERRE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
