Angkor Wat wall art seen the way most visitors first see it: across the lotus pond at the northern edge of the causeway, the five towers rising over a treeline of sugar palms and their silhouette held in still water.
About the artwork
A layered digital illustration built in receding planes — magenta lotus blossoms and flat lily pads in the immediate foreground, a band of deep blue water carrying the reflection, then the temple's stepped towers behind a dark green line of palms and jungle. The colour scheme is unusual for a temple print: hot pink flowers against blue-green water, with the sandstone towers left in muted grey so they read as distance rather than subject-in-your-face.
Why you'll love it
- The lotus pond foreground gives the piece colour and depth that a plain temple photograph never has.
- Pink and blue-green together — a print that works in rooms where beige art would disappear.
- Botanical and architectural at once, so it fits both plant-heavy and gallery-style walls.
- Painted in the same series style as the rest of the Asia collection.
Where it works at home
The magenta lotus reads strongly from a distance, which makes this a good piece for the far end of a hallway or above a dining sideboard. It sits naturally in a room with real plants, rattan or dark timber, and pairs well with other water-and-temple prints. In a bedroom it works above the headboard where the still lower half of the image keeps things calm.
Sizes and materials
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Thirteen sizes are available, from 8 x 12 inches up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. Every piece is made to order.
Shipping and care
Each piece is printed and finished after the order is placed, then shipped in protective packaging — paper prints rolled in a rigid tube, canvas and framed canvas boxed with corner guards. Keep the artwork out of direct sunlight and wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Paper prints are best handled by the edges until they are framed.
Questions
Which material should I choose? Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
Will the colours match what I see on screen? Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
What are the flowers in the foreground? Lotus, which grows in the reservoirs either side of the western causeway and is in flower for much of the year.
