A Tokyo taxi print for an office or living room that runs on momentum. Set out like a magazine page, it pairs a big serif "TOKYO JAPAN" with a photo of a blue-green taxi blurring across a crosswalk in front of red neon signs. The headline says it plainly: "TOKYO ROLLS WITHOUT PAUSE".
About the artwork
Large serif letters spell "TOKYO JAPAN" across the page, with paragraphs of text and a photograph arranged like an editorial spread. The photo catches a blue-green taxi in motion, blurred as it crosses the zebra stripes of a crosswalk, with red neon signs glowing behind it. The rest of the lettering reads "JAPANESE AESTHETIC", "TOKYO ROLLS WITHOUT PAUSE" and "Thursday 1998". Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Motion in a still image. The blurred taxi gives the print a sense of speed that suits a working room.
- Serif type with presence. The large TOKYO JAPAN lettering gives the page the weight of a magazine cover.
- A line worth reading. TOKYO ROLLS WITHOUT PAUSE is a quiet push for anyone sitting at a desk.
- Neon red as the accent. The red signs behind the taxi give the layout one warm note to build a room around.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Above a desk in a home office, 18" x 24" keeps the type readable without crowding the wall; in a living room, go 24" x 36" over a sofa or console. It sits well on white, light gray or navy walls, next to dark wood, black shelving and a leather chair. Pair it with a newspaper-style Tokyo street print for a two-page spread on one wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does the lettering on the print say? It reads JAPANESE AESTHETIC, TOKYO JAPAN, TOKYO ROLLS WITHOUT PAUSE and Thursday 1998, laid out like a magazine page.
Is it better for an office or a living room? Both. At 18" x 24" it suits the wall above a desk, and at 24" x 36" it holds a living room wall on its own.
Does it pair with other Tokyo prints? Yes. It sits well next to other editorial or neon Tokyo prints; keep the frames the same color so the pair reads as a set.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
