This Sandpoint watercolor print shows Schweitzer Mountain rising over Lake Pend Oreille, with the Long Bridge and a busy marina seen from Sandpoint City Beach. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the lakeside town, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines trace sailboat masts, the piers of the Long Bridge and church steeples. The lake is laid in clear blue with streaks of white paper for light, and the mountain is washed in green and violet with pale ski-run streaks. Schweitzer fills the upper left, and the long bridge stretches across the middle right on its piers. A marina full of sailboats sits in the center, downtown and its church steeples are on the left, and a curved sandy beach, lawn and pines fill the foreground. Snow-touched Selkirk Mountains fade into the distance on the right in this high-summer scene. "SANDPOINT" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Paddleboards and sails. Two paddleboarders, white sailboats and a motorboat bring the lake to life.
- Beach day details. Swimmers and families on the sand, with a red-roofed picnic shelter among the pines.
- Lake blue and pine. Clear lake blue, pine green and sandy beige keep the palette calm and fresh.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Lake blues and pine greens suit a lake house, a guest room, a bathroom or a coastal-style living room. It is a natural gift for summer regulars on Lake Pend Oreille or for someone who grew up in Idaho.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Sandpoint? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Sandpoint and the lake, so distances and building positions are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "SANDPOINT," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
