A Salar de Uyuni Bolivia poster taken from ground level on the salt itself. The foreground is a field of dried salt polygons, each pale slab edged in shadow, running back to a thin sheet of standing water. Beyond it a rock island bristles with tall columnar cacti, and above everything sits a cloudless wall of deep cerulean.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes carry a fine grain that gives the salt crust its texture. The palette is narrow on purpose: bone white and warm cream for the crust, pale turquoise for the shallow water, grey-green cactus and grey rock for the island, and one saturated cerulean for the sky. The polygon pattern acts as a perspective grid. SALAR DE UYUNI runs in white capitals across the top with BOLIVIA beneath. Portrait orientation, 2:3 ratio.
Why you'll love it
- A floor that leads you in — the cracked hexagons pull the eye from the bottom edge to the island.
- Two colours doing all the work — cream salt and deep blue sky, with almost nothing in between.
- An unusual desert subject — cacti standing on rock in the middle of a dry lake bed.
- Quiet enough for a bedroom — no crowds, no buildings, no busy detail.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The cream crust reads almost as a neutral, so this print sits comfortably on a warm white, oat or greige wall without fighting it. The single band of deep blue then acts as the accent, which pairs well with indigo linen, a navy throw or a dark blue ceramic lamp. In a bathroom or a pale bedroom it keeps things calm. Bleached oak and travertine suit it more than dark walnut.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What is the island covered in cacti? Salar de Uyuni holds several rocky outcrops that rise out of the salt crust, and tall columnar cacti grow on them. The print shows one of these islands across a thin sheet of standing water.
What size should I get? Above a sofa or bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" holds the wall. For a desk, shelf or gallery grouping, 12" x 18" and 16" x 24" are the easiest to place.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas arrive unframed. The framed canvas option adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
