This Puerto Vallarta travel poster looks along the bay from above the rooftops. A red-brick church tower stands near the shore with an openwork crown on top instead of a spire, a pale dome beside it. Terracotta roofs and palms run back up the hillside, a curving seafront walkway with sculptures follows the sand, and long lines of surf break over dark rocks into deep blue water.
About the artwork
The drawing is layered halftone: closely ruled bands build the sea, the surf and the mountain slopes, while the tower and the rooftops are cut as clean shapes. The palette is a warm rust and terracotta town set against teal, navy and white water, with olive palms, grey-blue mountains and a bank of cream clouds on a blue sky. The shoreline sweeps from the bottom right up to the headland, and the tower breaks the skyline just left of centre. The printed lettering reads PUERTO VALLARTA above MEXICO in white. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The crowned tower — the open metal crown above the belfry is unmistakable and gives the print a landmark to anchor on.
- Surf you can almost hear — rank after rank of white breakers roll in over rocks along most of the right-hand side.
- Town, beach and mountains together — the hillside houses, the seafront walkway and the far ridge all sit in one frame.
- Rust against deep blue — a strong warm-cool contrast that carries across a room without turning garish.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Rust, terracotta and deep teal make this print at home on a warm white, sand or clay wall, and it looks especially good where there is already a navy or petrol-blue textile in the room. A natural oak frame lifts the terracotta roofs; espresso wood leans into the darker water. Hung above a cream sofa with a burnt-orange cushion it echoes the roof colour directly, and in a dining corner with an oak table the blue half of the picture cools the wood down. Rattan, jute and linen suit it.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What is the crown-shaped thing on the tower? It is an openwork metal crown set on top of the church belfry in place of a conventional spire. In this artwork it is drawn in pale cream against the sky, so it reads clearly even at small print sizes.
What size should I get? Above a sofa or bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" holds the wall. For a desk, shelf or gallery grouping, 12" x 18" and 16" x 24" are the easiest to place.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas arrive unframed. The framed canvas option adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
