A cherry blossom wall art print with Japanese verse: pink blossoms open over a deep rose watercolour wash on the right, while short lines of Japanese text run down the cream space on the left.
About the artwork
The rose wash spreads across two-thirds of the sheet with soft, bleeding edges, like colour soaking into damp paper. Over it, a large branch carries pink five-petal flowers with red centres and a few closed buds. A thin grey band runs down the far right edge. On the left, the large title 桜花, “cherry blossom”, is followed by three lines: 春風そよそよ花ひらく, “the spring breeze blows gently and the flowers open”; 一生懸命美したい, printed exactly as it appears on the design; and いまを一瞬精一杯, “give this one moment everything”. A red seal sits below. Vintage. Landscape.
Why you'll love it
- Words and flowers. A short verse beside a full branch of sakura.
- Watercolour depth. A rose wash that bleeds and pools like real paint.
- Soft and romantic. Blush, rose and cream suit calm rooms.
- Built wide. Drawn as a landscape, not a vertical design turned on its side.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. 12" x 8" through 54" x 36", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
A natural fit for a bedroom, above the bed or a dresser, or a quiet reading corner. White frames keep the pink fresh; natural oak warms it.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does the verse say? The title means cherry blossom; the lines speak of a gentle spring breeze opening the flowers and of giving everything to the present moment.
Is it a traditional haiku? It is a short modern Japanese verse written for the design, not a classical haiku.
Is it landscape? Yes, the text sits on the left and the blossom fills the right.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
