This Ottawa flower market wall art print looks between rows of blazing autumn trees toward a river and a spired Gothic-style building. It is a stylized artistic interpretation inspired by Ottawa, not a literal view of the city.
About the artwork
It is a digital watercolor-style illustration with fine black outlines and opaque color areas. Maple orange-red, yellow and pink lead the palette, with white, lupine blue and green. Two rows of fall trees frame the scene, a Gothic-style building with many pointed spires stands beside a blue river in the distance, and a garden of daisies and colorful blooms fills the foreground under a pale blue sky. "FLOWER MARKET" is printed at the top in earthy orange, and "Ottawa" is handwritten below in light blue.
Why you'll love it
- Canadian autumn. Maple-red trees give the whole scene seasonal warmth.
- Crisp outlines. Fine black lines add a neat, illustrated finish.
- A deep view. The tree rows lead your eye down to the river and spires.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a living room, den or entryway with warm wood, cream and rust tones. A great gift for anyone from Ottawa, a recent graduate or someone who loves fall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Ottawa? No. It is a stylized artistic interpretation inspired by Ottawa, so it will not match the real place exactly. You see rows of autumn trees, a river and a Gothic-style building with pointed spires, with a garden in front, arranged as a dreamlike scene.
What text is printed on it? "FLOWER MARKET" across the top, "CITIES & FLOWERS COLLECTION" and "NO.049" below the image, and "Ottawa" handwritten in script.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
