This Oaxaca Mexico travel poster stands you at the edge of a paved plaza behind a row of blue-green agave spears. Above them a honey-coloured stone church lifts two bell towers capped with blue and white tiled domes. Market parasols and shade trees crowd the square below, a palm frond leans in from the right, and a ridge of green mountains fills the distance under a deep blue sky.
About the artwork
The technique is smooth digital brushwork with crisp edges: soft modelling on the stone and the mountains, hard-cut shadow shapes on the paving and the agave leaves. The palette runs honey, sand and warm grey through the church facade, teal on the tiled domes, deep bottle green in the agave and palms, terracotta on the low roofs, and a strong cobalt sky. The agave in the lower third frames the building and pulls the eye up the two towers. The printed lettering reads OAXACA CITY above MEXICO in white. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Agave in the foreground — spiky blue-green rosettes fill the bottom of the frame and give the picture depth you can read from a distance.
- Carved stone facade — the church front is drawn with its niches, columns and rose window, not simplified into a flat block.
- Green mountains behind the town — the valley setting is part of the composition, so it works as landscape art as much as architecture.
- Cool greens against warm stone — teal domes and dark foliage balance the honey and terracotta, which keeps the print calm rather than loud.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Bottle green, teal and honey stone make this an easy fit for a sage or olive wall, and it looks just as settled on plain warm white. Natural or light oak echoes the sandstone; espresso wood picks up the dark green of the agave. It suits a dining corner with an oak table and spindle chairs, where the market parasols and figures give people something to look at over a meal. In a home office, the cool greens keep the wall quiet next to cane and rattan furniture.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Why does the print say Oaxaca City rather than the name of the church? The lettering names the city because the artwork is a view of the plaza as a whole — the stone church with its twin towers, the market stalls, the trees and the mountains behind them.
What size should I get? Above a sofa or bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" holds the wall. For a desk, shelf or gallery grouping, 12" x 18" and 16" x 24" are the easiest to place.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas arrive unframed. The framed canvas option adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
