A Mount Fuji sunburst print for a lively living room. A red sun throws rays across the sky above the snowy peak, a red pagoda stands near a blue lake, and a colorful town fills the lower part of the scene. Red JAPAN lettering ties it together. It has the cheerful busyness of a retro travel poster.
About the artwork
Red leads the palette: the sunburst, the pagoda and the JAPAN lettering all share it. Between them sit the white snowcap, a blue lake and a town painted in many small colors. The rays around the sun give the sky movement, while the flat blue of the lake gives the eye a calm patch among the detail. Small Japanese signs appear on the buildings as part of the street scene. Flat, bright color keeps it in retro poster style. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- A sunburst full of motion. Rays spread out from the red sun, so the sky feels bright and active rather than empty.
- A town to look into. The colorful buildings below reward a closer look, down to the small signs on their fronts.
- Lake water as a pause. The blue lake is the calmest part of the picture and gives the eye a rest between sky and town.
- Bold red lettering. JAPAN is set in red, which makes the sheet read clearly as a travel-poster design.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This scene has plenty going on, so give it a calm living room wall: warm white, stone or pale olive, with low wood furniture and simple textiles. At 24" x 36" it anchors the space over a sofa or a media console; 16" x 24" works on a bookshelf wall. A natural wood floating frame keeps it friendly. Pair it with a solid red ceramic or a plain blue throw to pick up the sun and the lake.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this picture busy or simple? It is detailed. The sunburst, pagoda, lake and colorful town all share the sheet, so it rewards a close look and still reads as red and blue from a distance.
Are there words on the design? The main lettering is JAPAN in red. Small Japanese characters also appear on the town's signs as street detail.
Which frame suits a detailed print like this? A natural or white solid wood floating frame gives it room to breathe. Black also works if the room already has dark accents.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
