A Mount Fuji pagoda print for a living room that wants one strong, warm shape on the wall. A big red sun hangs in the sky, the peak wears its snowcap, and a red tiered pagoda looks down over a town of tiled roofs. It reads like an old travel poster: calm, graphic and easy to live with every day.
About the artwork
The palette is held to blue-gray and red on a beige ground, so the sun and the pagoda carry all the heat. The pagoda is drawn in the Chureito style, with stacked red roofs, and it looks down over the town, so the eye travels from the rooftops up to the pagoda and on to the mountain and the sun. Shapes are flat and cleanly cut in a retro poster manner, with no fussy shading. The lettering reads JAPAN, with 日本 set beside it. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Three icons in one view. Red sun, snowcapped mountain and tiered pagoda share a single frame, with a whole town of tiled roofs underneath.
- Red that repeats. The sun and the pagoda are both red, so the color links the sky to the slope below it.
- Quiet background colors. Blue-gray and beige keep the rest of the picture calm, which lets it hang near other art without a fight.
- A town, not just a mountain. The rows of tiled roofs give the scene a human scale that a lone peak does not have.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it over the sofa in a living room with warm white, greige or pale clay walls, where the beige ground blends in and the red does the talking. At 24" x 36" it holds the space above a three-seat sofa; 18" x 24" suits a console table or the narrow wall beside a bookcase. Dark wood and linen suit its muted blue-gray. Pair it with a plain rust ceramic vase or a red-and-cream woven throw.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size works above a sofa? For a standard three-seat sofa, 24" x 36" fills the space well. Choose 18" x 24" for a console table or a smaller wall.
What is written on this print? The lettering reads JAPAN, with 日本 written beside it.
Which frame color suits it? A natural or espresso solid wood floating frame picks up the warm beige and red. A black frame gives the blue-gray a sharper edge.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
