A Monserrate Bogota Colombia poster shot from high on the ridge looking west. Dark pines and rock ledges frame the right side, and partway down the slope a small white church with a red-tiled roof and a slim bell tower sits on its own terrace. Beyond it the terracotta grid of Bogota runs flat to a hazy horizon under pale blue sky.
About the artwork
This is a screen-print style illustration built from stacked flat layers and fine hatching, not smooth gradients. Two families of colour do the work: rust, brick and burnt orange for the endless rooftops, and deep teal, navy and forest green for the mountain in shadow. The white chapel is the one bright point. The title BOGOTÁ sits in wide white capitals with COLOMBIA beneath. Portrait orientation, 2:3 ratio.
Why you'll love it
- A single white focal point — the chapel reads instantly against dark rock and orange rooftops.
- Scale you can feel — rooftops run to the horizon without ever reaching an edge.
- Screen-print texture — visible hatching gives it the feel of a pressed poster.
- Rust and teal — a warm-cool pairing that suits panelled and painted walls alike.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The rust rooftops read as a large field of warm colour, so a deep teal, petrol or charcoal wall lets them glow instead of competing. In a study lined with dark shelves it looks at home above the desk. On a plain white wall, pull the colour into the room with a rust cushion or a clay lamp base. Black metal frames and dark walnut furniture suit it more than pale Scandinavian pine.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What is the white building on the slope? It is the sanctuary church on Monserrate, the ridge that rises directly above central Bogota. The print puts the church in the middle distance with the city spread out far below it.
What size should I get? Above a sofa or bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" holds the wall. For a desk, shelf or gallery grouping, 12" x 18" and 16" x 24" are the easiest to place.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas arrive unframed. The framed canvas option adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
