A vintage Mount Fuji print for a living room with a slower pace. Fuji fades into mist behind layered cream clouds, a red-brown temple roof sits on the right, and a pale cherry tree softens the scene. The whole picture is washed in sepia, like an old oil painting.
About the artwork
The palette is sepia throughout: warm browns, cream clouds and a muted red-brown on the temple roof, with the cherry tree kept pale. Mount Fuji sits back in the mist rather than dominating, and the clouds stack in soft layers. The temple roof on the right gives the eye a solid, warm shape to rest on. There is no lettering. The finish imitates an aged oil painting, soft and slightly faded, rather than a crisp print. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Fuji, half hidden. The mountain sits back in the mist, so the print is about atmosphere more than a postcard view.
- Sepia that suits wood and leather. The warm, aged tones sit with walnut, leather and brass rather than fighting them.
- No text on the image. With no lettering, it reads as a painting rather than a travel poster.
- A temple roof for scale. The red-brown roof on the right and the pale cherry tree give the misty scene a foreground and a sense of distance.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a living room with cream, taupe or warm white walls and wood or leather furniture. Over a sofa or a sideboard, 24" x 36" lets the mist and clouds read as open space; above a reading chair, 18" x 24" is enough. An espresso or natural solid wood floating frame suits the sepia. Pair it with a brass lamp or a stack of old books on a nearby shelf to match its aged feel.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Does this print have any text? No. It is image only: Mount Fuji in mist, layered clouds, a temple roof and a pale cherry tree.
Is it a real antique painting? No. It is a new design made to look like an aged oil painting, with a sepia palette.
Which frame suits the sepia tones? Espresso and natural solid wood floating frames suit the warm browns best. Black gives it a sharper, more modern edge.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Damage, defects & care
Every piece is printed for you after you order, so we cannot take a print back for a change of mind — please check the size and material first. Our Size Guide shows every size drawn to scale.
