This Machu Picchu travel poster looks down the ridge in clear morning light. Sandstone steps and tufts of grass fill the foreground, four llamas graze a green terrace, and the roofless stone houses and plazas of the Inca citadel spread across the saddle below. Behind them rises the steep green horn of Huayna Picchu over a hazy blue valley.
About the artwork
Drawn as a flat vector illustration with soft gradient shading, in the manner of a mid-century railway poster. The palette runs from emerald and olive on the sunlit slopes to warm sandy tan in the terrace walls and foreground rock, against a clear teal sky and pale blue-grey peaks. MACHU PICCHU sits in wide white capitals across the top, with PERU centred beneath. Portrait format, 2:3 ratio.
Why you'll love it
- A hiker's vantage — the view from the ridge trail, worn stone steps included.
- Llamas in frame — four graze the terraces, warm detail among grey ruins.
- Green that carries — emerald slopes read clearly from across a room.
- For Peru travellers — a keepsake from the Inca Trail.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The emerald and olive greens settle against warm white or soft clay walls, and hold up on a deeper sage painted wall. Pair the print with oak, walnut or rattan furniture, a jute rug and a terracotta planter that echoes the sandy stone tones. In a bedroom it works over an oatmeal linen headboard, and in a study above a wooden desk where the teal sky lifts the daylight.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What am I looking at? The stone terraces, plazas and roofless houses of the Inca citadel, with Huayna Picchu the tall peak behind. The store also carries a Cusco print of the Plaza de Armas, showing the colonial cathedral and arcades of the old city square rather than this mountain ruin.
What size should I get? Above a sofa or bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" holds the wall. For a desk, shelf or gallery grouping, 12" x 18" and 16" x 24" are the easiest to place.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas arrive unframed. The framed canvas option adds a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
