A Macau travel poster seen from the lakeside promenade, where a pale stone walkway curves past shade trees and a bank of tumbled boulders. Across the deep blue water the city gathers: a broad golden tower shaped like a lotus bud, a slender spire crowned with a disc, and low pastel facades under soft green hills.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes carry the whole scene, with gentle gradient shading standing in for depth the way mid-century printing did. The palette moves from turquoise sky through deep teal water to warm sand and cream in the paving, and the gold of the fan-shaped tower is the one hot note in the frame. Long tree shadows stripe the promenade, a blue-green ridge closes the horizon on the right, and the type sits across the top in white capitals reading MACAU above CHINA SAR.
Why you'll love it
- Archival paper or gallery-wrapped canvas, printed with pigment inks that hold the gold and teal.
- Thirteen sizes in inch and A-series formats, for a frame you own or a feature wall.
- A tall 2:3 crop that suits narrow wall space between doorways and windows.
- Made to order and shipped protected, so the edges stay crisp for framing.
Where it works at home
The cool blue field takes up most of the surface, so this one settles a busy room rather than adding to it. It reads well in a hallway or above a sideboard, and the gold tower gives it something to trade with brass handles, warm oak or a tan leather chair.
Sizes and materials
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Thirteen sizes are available, from 8 x 12 inches up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. Every piece is made to order.
Shipping and care
Each piece is printed and finished after the order is placed, then shipped in protective packaging — paper prints rolled in a rigid tube, canvas and framed canvas boxed with corner guards. Keep the artwork out of direct sunlight and wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Paper prints are best handled by the edges until they are framed.
Questions
Which material should I choose? Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
Will the colours match what I see on screen? Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
What are the two towers in the picture? The tall gold one is the fan-shaped, lotus-like tower that dominates the Macau waterfront skyline; the slim white spire with a disc near the top is the city's observation tower on the far shore. Both are drawn from the illustration rather than photographed.
