An East Asian landscape wall art print: gold-roofed temples stand on the shore of a still lake beneath steep green mountains, pine forests and drifting cream cloud.
About the artwork
The gold roofs are the difference in this design. Every roof, from the tiered main temple on the right to the small hall on the left and the distant pavilions on the water, is painted in bright gold that glows against the blue-green peaks. The mountains rise in layers in the Chinese blue-green manner, with pines framing the foreground. The gold is printed colour, not metal leaf. At the upper left the text reads 山水清音, “the clear sound of mountains and water”, then 令和六年春, spring of Reiwa 6 (2024), and the studio name 松風吟齋, with seals at upper left and lower right. Vintage. Landscape. A companion print shows the same view with green roofs.
Why you'll love it
- Gold on green. Bright roofs stand out against jade mountains.
- Layered depth. Peaks fade into cloud behind the lake.
- A warmer take. The same calm view with more glow.
- Built wide. Drawn as a landscape, not a vertical design turned on its side.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. 12" x 8" through 54" x 36", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Brings warmth to a living room, study or office wall. Natural oak frames pick up the gold; espresso deepens the greens.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the gold real metal leaf? No, the gold is part of the printed design.
How is it different from the green temples print? The layout is the same, but here every roof is gold.
Is it landscape? Yes, the lake and mountains spread across a wide sheet.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
