This Fredericksburg, Texas watercolor print shows the octagonal limestone Vereins Kirche on the Marktplatz, framed by beds of spring bluebonnets. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the town square, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Pale beige glazes build the limestone walls, and fine brown ink outlines the octagonal walls, tin roof, small pointed cupola, pointed windows and market tents. Bluebonnets are layered as deep blue-violet wet dots. The Vereins Kirche stands in the center with its smaller upper octagon, Main Street's limestone storefronts with wooden porches line the left, and the rolling Texas Hill Country rises behind. Stone-walled flower beds full of bluebonnets fill the foreground. The left edge and bottom soften into blue-violet and yellow blooms with drips and splatter. "FREDERICKSBURG" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Little market stall. A white tent on the square holds potted flowers for sale.
- Main Street porches. Limestone buildings with wooden porches and tin roofs carry Texas and American flags.
- Bluebonnet beds. Deep blue-violet bluebonnets fill stone-walled beds right below the building.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Fredericksburg, Texas? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the Marktplatz and the Vereins Kirche, with the square simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "FREDERICKSBURG," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
