This El Paso watercolor print shows the downtown skyline, led by Wells Fargo Plaza and the red-brick Plaza Hotel, from the Scenic Drive overlook on the Franklin Mountains. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the desert city, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Clear washes layer the beige and brown city blocks, and fine brown ink outlines towers, the stone overlook wall, bicycles and thin ocotillo stems tipped in red. The rocky slope is a loose beige-orange wash. The view looks south: dark-glass Wells Fargo Plaza stands tallest in the center, the stepped Plaza Hotel sits on the right, and the Rio Grande valley with a bridge and a city beyond spreads toward blue-violet mountains. The curving road and the desert slope with yucca fill the foreground in dry spring. The left edge and bottom dissolve into yellow, violet and orange blooms, drips and splatter. "EL PASO" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Overlook point of view. The scene looks down on downtown from the mountain road, so the whole valley opens up.
- Ocotillo in bloom. Red-tipped ocotillo, sword-leaf yucca and yellow wildflowers cover the rocky slope.
- Cyclists on the road. Two cyclists ride Scenic Drive while people gather at the stone wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its sandy beiges and desert greens suit a Southwestern living room, a home office or a hallway with leather, wood or clay accents. A meaningful gift for an El Paso native or for someone once stationed nearby who loved this view.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of El Paso? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the El Paso skyline from the mountain road, with distant details simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "EL PASO," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
