This Chengdu flower market wall art print frames curved-roof buildings with tall bamboo above a pond of pink and white lotus. It is a stylized, imaginative take on Chengdu, an artistic interpretation inspired by the city, not a literal view.
About the artwork
It is a digital illustration in a watercolor style, with soft washes, paper grain and translucent color. Bamboo green and jade lead, with golden orange, lotus pink and cream under a bright pale yellow sky. Bamboo groves frame both sides, golden-orange buildings with curved roofs and a small jade pavilion sit in the middle, and the lower half is a lotus pond with pink, white and golden blooms among wide leaves. "FLOWER MARKET" sits across the top in green, with "Chengdu" handwritten below in pink.
Why you'll love it
- Bamboo and lotus. Tall bamboo and lotus blooms bring a serene, garden feel.
- East Asian mood. Curved roofs and a pavilion add classic charm.
- Soft pinks and greens. A gentle palette that feels peaceful and fresh.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
It suits a bedroom, reading nook or meditation space with jade, blush and light wood. A thoughtful gift for someone from Sichuan or anyone who loved their trip to Chengdu.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Chengdu? No. It is a stylized interpretation: bamboo, curved-roof buildings and a lotus pond arranged as a dreamlike poster, not a specific real view.
What text is printed on it? The top reads "FLOWER MARKET." Below the scene you'll see "CITIES & FLOWERS COLLECTION" and "NO. 031," with "Chengdu" written in handwritten script at the bottom.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
