A cafe quote print that fills the whole sheet with hollow green letters. "BARISTA WAS CUTE, WOULD HAVE COFFEE HERE AGAIN!" wraps around a croissant, a moka pot and a cup and saucer, with five scribbled gold stars along the bottom.
About the artwork
The letters are outlined rather than filled, so the cream ground shows through them and the drawings can sit inside the gaps between words. Everything shares one weight of green line except the stars, which are the only warm colour on the page. The layout is deliberately crowded, closer to a chalkboard than a poster. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- The louder version of a quiet joke. Same review, but the outline type and the drawings make it read from across a room.
- Green softens a busy kitchen. Hollow letters carry far less visual weight than solid ones, so it fills a wall without darkening it.
- Built as a set. Every design in the food and drink series shares the same cream ground and paper, so any combination lines up.
- A gift for a coffee obsessive. The moka pot and croissant make the subject unmistakable.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is the one to use when a kitchen wall is too big for a small print. At 24" x 36" the outline letters hold the space without making the room feel heavy, and the green picks up plants, sage cabinets or a tiled splashback. Avoid hanging it next to another typographic print; give it one drawn, wordless neighbour instead so the wall has somewhere to rest.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Between cabinets or above a counter, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a dining table or sideboard, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Can I hang more than one together? Yes. The food and drink prints share one palette and one paper, so two or three hang as a matched set.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Matte canvas

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
