This Austin flower market wall art print looks through a tunnel of purple trees toward a domed building and city towers. It is a stylized, imaginative take on Austin, an artistic interpretation inspired by the city, not a literal view of its skyline.
About the artwork
It is a digital illustration in an opaque gouache style with a light horizontal canvas texture. The palette is almost all purple: lavender, deep violet, powder pink and navy, with a single spark of orange. Black-trunked trees with purple leaves frame both sides, and round shrubs dotted with tiny blooms fill the foreground under a soft pink sky. "FLOWER MARKET" sits across the top in purple, and "Austin" is handwritten below in orange.
Why you'll love it
- Purple palette. A near-monochrome lavender scheme feels calm and cohesive.
- Framed view. Arching trees pull your eye to the domed building at the center.
- Decorative dots. Round, dotted shrubs add a playful pattern to the foreground.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Try it in a bedroom or reading nook with lilac, blush or grey linens. It is a sweet gift for a friend who calls Austin home or just moved away from it.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Austin? No. It is a stylized interpretation: a capitol-style dome and towers seen through purple trees, arranged as a poster scene rather than an exact view.
What text is printed on it? The top reads "FLOWER MARKET." Below the scene you'll see "CITIES & FLOWERS COLLECTION" and "NO.027," with "Austin" written in handwritten script at the bottom.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
