This Amarillo watercolor print shows Cadillac Ranch, a row of spray-painted cars standing on the open Texas Panhandle prairie. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the site, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The layered spray paint on the cars is painted as overlapping spots of candy pink, turquoise and orange. Fine brown ink outlines the car bodies, a barbed-wire fence, a windmill and a grain elevator, and dry-brush strokes give the grass a golden tone. The cars run diagonally from left to right across the middle ground, with the largest one close on the right. A flat prairie with a windmill and grain elevators stretches back under a huge sky, and dry grass and a wooden fence fill the foreground in late spring. The left edge and bottom break into pink, turquoise and yellow blooms with drips and splatter. "AMARILLO" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Painting in progress. A visitor sprays fresh paint on a car while a parent and child take photos.
- Big sky composition. A wide pale sky fills much of the paper above the flat prairie.
- Candy-colored accents. Pink, turquoise and orange paint pops against golden grass and beige earth.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The golden beige and candy-colored accents work in a playful living room, a teen's bedroom, a game room or a road-trip themed hallway. A fun gift for a road-trip lover or anyone who has stopped there with a spray can.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Amarillo? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Cadillac Ranch, and the cars are simplified and set at gentler angles than in real life.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "AMARILLO," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
