What's in the collection

Canyons give a print vertical drop, and these use it two ways. Looking down from a rim, where bands of sandstone step away in receding layers and haze separates each one from the next. Looking up from inside, where narrow walls close overhead and reflected light turns the rock orange and violet. Gorges cut by rivers appear as well, with the water reduced to a thin green thread far below. The palette is almost entirely warm, rust, ochre, rose and cream, cooled only by shadow.

One house style

Layered rock is a gift to any drawing method, so the collection keeps several. Flat vector treatments turn the strata into clean stacked bands of colour. Knifed, textured paint gives the wall physical grain. Watercolour lets distance and haze soften the far rim. What stays constant is a strong sense of depth, one clear near edge and one clear far edge, and enough empty sky or shadow that the layering has room to read. It is why these hang well in a row.
