Bakery Wall Art

What's in the collection

The croissant appears more than anything else: painted in glossy detail against orange stripes, drawn flat in yellow ochre inside a dotted border, and turned green and pink under a hand-lettered order in French. A woman in sunglasses carries a baguette and a bottle home under one arm. Three blocks of butter sit on flat orange, drawn in plain black ink. A loose multicolored outline sheet gathers buttered bread, a knife, a moka pot and a cup together on one page. Where a coffee cup shares the frame, the print also belongs with the coffee wall art group.

One house style

Two hands share the group. The painted pieces treat the pastry almost photographically and set it against a flat striped ground. The drawn pieces work in one line of colored ink on warm cream, with the lettering done by hand rather than typeset. French phrases run through both. Because the ground stays the same off-white and the palette holds to butter yellow, orange and cream, the painted and drawn prints hang together. The collection sits inside food and drink wall art and reads as morning, which makes it easy kitchen wall art for a breakfast corner.

Sizes, paper and framing

Every design is offered on archival matte paper in nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames, and on matte canvas either stretched on a wooden bar or set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Printed with pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
