A Yayoi Kusama inspired big eyes and blue dots print with a portrait layout. Two oversized eyes with heavy black lashes sit one above the other. Red shapes cross a yellow field filled with blue dots; blue and green irises give the two eyes distinct characters.
About the artwork
The stacked eyes create a playful focal point without forming a conventional face. Small dots fill the spaces around the larger shapes, while the broad areas of red and yellow keep the composition easy to recognise from across a room. The printed name YAYOI KUSAMA forms part of the surrounding typography. Any lettering is part of the printed design. Names, dates and gallery-style wording are decorative elements, not a statement of exhibition history or institutional affiliation. This is an independent print inspired by the style of Yayoi Kusama. It is not an original artwork, reproduction, or licensed product, and it is not made by, sold by, or affiliated with the artist or their studio.
Why you'll love it
- A distinctive focal point. Two oversized eyes with heavy black lashes sit one above the other. Red shapes cross a yellow field filled with blue dots; blue and green irises give the two eyes distinct characters.
- Easy to style. Try it above a studio desk or beside a reading chair on a plain wall.
- Your choice of finish. Choose paper, matte canvas or framed canvas to suit your space.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Try it above a studio desk or beside a reading chair on a plain wall. A black frame echoes the lashes, while natural wood softens the strong primary colours; a small blue or red accessory can connect the print to the room. Leave some clear wall around the printed border so the pattern and typography have room to be seen together.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the frame shown in the room photos included? The room photos show styling examples. Paper prints arrive rolled and unframed; choose a framed canvas option for a solid wood floating frame.
Is this an official or licensed print? No. This is an independent design inspired by the artist's style, not made, sold or licensed by Yayoi Kusama or her studio.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
