About the artwork

Illustrative and layered, built from long overlapping ridge shapes with fine directional hatching that follows the plough lines - the hills read as fabric rather than flat colour. The palette runs through olive, moss and yellow-green in the standing crop, wheat and straw in the cut fields, chocolate brown in bare soil, near-black green on the firs, and barn red as the single strong accent.
