About the artwork

This is the painted version of the view rather than a flat-colour one. Grass is drawn blade by blade in the foreground, the sand face carries raked shadow that shows how steep the slope is, and the lake is layered in bands from pale turquoise at the waterline to deep indigo offshore. Rust and mauve scrub sits low on the left, wind-shaped pines mass on the right, and cream cumulus pile up over a blue that darkens toward the top edge. What size should I get? The long diagonal of the bluff needs a little room to run. 16" x 24" works over a nightstand; 24" x 36" keeps the far headlands and the individual grass blades both readable.
