About the artwork

The tower is deliberately not the whole subject. It occupies a narrow vertical column while the roofs take the rest, and that inversion is what separates this from every other Paris print. The zinc is drawn in blue-grey planes, each roof pitched slightly differently so the surface has genuine rhythm, with terracotta chimney pots repeating across it as small warm accents and cream limestone facades showing between. A blue dome sits mid-left as a second landmark. Above, a wide band of pale sky with low cumulus lets the tower silhouette read cleanly.
