About the artwork

Split down the middle by a long curve. Everything left of it is water — drawn in bands of turquoise, aqua and deep teal with fine wave texture and a few sailboats on the horizon. Everything right of it is town: terracotta roof planes, apricot and ochre facades, palms and cypresses, awnings and shutters picked out at very small scale.
